9th Annual Hilltop Street Fair – Saturday August 24th 11am – 7pm free all ages

The Hilltop Business Association presents Tacoma’s most prominent community event, The Hilltop Street Fair! This year, the fair returns on Saturday, August 24th, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

In its ninth year, the Hilltop Street Fair celebrates summer with food trucks, beer gardens, vendor booths, live entertainment stages, activities for kids, and much more!

The Car Show will also return this year, and for the first time, the fair will feature a local Swap Meet currated by Por Vida NW, a 1on1 Basketball Tournament hosted by Gametime, and a Free Outdoor Movie in People’s Park presented by The Grand Cinema, where they will show Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.

The Hilltop Street Fair centers around the business district on 11th St and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, and People’s Park. Fairgoers can find ice cream, espresso, bakery items, chocolate confections, pubs, ethnic restaurants, and specialty stores open for business throughout the Hilltop Business corridor.

I’ll have new creations for you on Saturday.

The Baby Head Cup Mechanism T-Shirt.

For this project I selected artist Ian Wheelock to realize this image. I appreciated his skillful quirky style of illustration along with his love for technical robotic drawings. The first concept was completed in 2023 however it took another year to refine it into the image you see here. It was important for me to have all of the text in Kanji Japanese to lend it a sense authenticity. The Mechanism T-Shirt available in all sizes!

Rainbow Baby Head Cups!

Big Bold Colors make this unique Rainbow Baby Head Cup pop! Six transparent colors are combined into a veil featuring the traditional rainbow spectrum. This unique and time consuming process yields amazing results. Each run is produced from a larger “base tube” that is sectioned off into individual “starts”. This Venetian technique is a way to produce a design that is consistent throughout a number of pieces. Find me on 11th and L St at the Hilltop Street fair.

Last months Market at Manuscript was tons of fun! This time we are running it in the evening for some after supper shopping fun!
The Dialogue Station Market from 5-9pm featuring vintage, blown glass, home decor, clothing, rave hair, on-site braiding, permanent jewelry, fine art, & more. Sip on a Manuscript cocktail while you shop and support local makers and curators of Tacoma.

This Friday I will be posted up in the shadows just outside of Church Cantina on South Tacoma Way. Myself and select local vendors join forces for a special edition of Danse Macabre from 8pm – 1:30. Come embrace the darkness with delicious food and enchanting beverages, while being entranced by the musical selections of DJ Keypr & DJ Eir Flux.

A new Makers Market is bubbling away in the Brewery District this month. I am excited to be a part of this one!

Join us Thursday March 21st, at 2101 Jefferson Ave, in the tap room of 7 Seas Brewery

From 5 to 9pm the beer hall will be converted into a multi layered Makers Market featuring gifts and goodies from your favorite local makers. I will be there with my new Tacoma Tumblers a lovingly pink and opal combination from Valentines Day. Also with my new Candy Striper Baby Head Cups. Snacks and refreshments will be available as well as delicious beers from 7 Seas Brewing. Free and open to all ages. See you there.

We have you covered! Come to Night Market at Freight House Square !

As soon as I wrap up the holidays with my family I’m heading down to Night Market to meet yours!

Got some new goodies for you this weekend! New ornament designs to bring your decorating to the next level. First is the Diavolo Rosso a charming little sprite of an orb to join the others on your holiday tree. The Second is a fun little number inspired by the classic Crimson Ghost films but most notably known as the signature image of the punk band Misfits.

As always I will have a great selection of tumblers, vessels and Baby Head Cups.

Arts at the Armory in Tacoma -November 11th & 12th, 11am-5pm – free – all ages

I am flattered to be a part of Arts at the Armory this year. I love this exhibition. Initially it started off as as an answer to Tacoma Studio Tours during lock-down however it have evolved into Tacoma’s most sophisticated art fair to date.

This weekend you will experience Tacoma artists working in all artistic disciplines and mediums, welcome you to the spacious Tacoma Armory for a unique interactive arts experience. Artists will be sharing their work and you will have an opportunity to learn about the artistic process, ask questions, and purchase one-of-a-kind creations. Thanks to our event sponsor, Tacoma Arts Live.

Parking: Street parking is available around the Tacoma Armory near the Pierce County-District Court Building, but is limited to either 30 minutes or one hour. Public Transit: The Tacoma Armory is serviced by Pierce Transit bus routes 45 and 28

Food: Hungry? Local food trucks will be on-site during the event. You are welcome to enjoy your food inside the Roosevelt Room.
